Moira Gavin

I live and work in Bristol. I studied Fine Art (sculpture) at Bath Spa University and Research (Fine Art) at the University of the West of England.

Childhood lasts a lifetime – within it lies the source of our pleasures and the bitter wounds of disappointment. My work explores the physical and psychological spaces of memory and narrative. Objects, photos, documents, institutions, archives, locations form the basis of a research-based practice in which memory, reality, imagination and perception collide.
